Created for a client deeply connected to the spirit of the Grateful Dead, the piece uses Garcia’s guitar as both pattern and symbol; a sacred vehicle for the emotional and transcendental journey his music evokes. The pattern made from his guitar wraps around him, both worn and woven into the background, cloaking him in the same energy he gave to others.
